Thank you for choosing The Home Depot and Cooper Installations for your Home Improvement needs! On behalf of our entire staff we are excited to be able to complete your project. Our goal is to ensure every customer is Extremely Satisfied! However, if at any time you feel we have not fulfilled our commitment please email us at totalsat@cooperinstallations.com or call us at 972-245-3766.
Please review the following information regarding your installation to ensure a successful and enjoyable installation experience.
- Rescheduling your installation may be required in the event of inclement weather unless the site provides a dry location to cut. For carpet this will typically require an empty 2 car garage to provide enough room for the carpet to be rolled out and cut.
- If furniture is to be moved by the installer, please review The Home Depot's furniture guide which is attached to this email. If you have any questions about what we are authorized to move or if a piece will require a furniture upcharge, please contact us at 972-245-3766.
- Please ensure the jobsite has electricity available to the installers. Many of the tools used for your installation will require the use of power and sufficient lighting at the jobsite will ensure quality of work.
- Permanent air conditioning and heating systems should be in place and operational.
- For Carpet Installation we ask that the temperature of the home be between 65 and 85F three days before and three days after installation. This will create an environment that allows the new carpet to stretch properly and reduce the chance of wrinkles in the future.
- For Wood and Laminate installation, we ask that the temperature of the home be between 65 and 85° F. Also, most manufactures require a humidity of 35 to 55 percent for 14 days prior to, during, and after installation to allow for proper acclimation and to maintain manufacture warranty.
- Carpet Removal Policy: Heavily pet or biologically contaminated carpets will be removed at the discretion of the installers. If the installer can remove the carpet but deems that it is too contaminated to be hauled off it will be left at curbside for trash pickup.
- Someone over 18 with authority to make decisions should be available during the installation to discuss unforeseen issues and approve correct product was delivered.
- Although the installers are careful, minor touchup of walls and baseboards may be required. If you intend to paint, it is recommended to wait until after the installation or at least one week prior to installation to ensure your paint is dry and had an opportunity to cure.
- Please ensure small children and pet safety by keeping them clear of the install area.
What's Next
- The Installer will call you approximately 30 minutes before their arrival.
- Upon arrival, the Installation Team will show you their Home Depot badges, confirm parking, confirm the work area, and confirm which entry and exit you would like them to use.
- Color/style of product will be confirmed for correctness, and the Installation team will walk the job site with you to verify the rooms on the diagram and give you an estimate of completion time.
- Carpet seam placement will be discussed and what types of transitions will be best for your home. If your installation has left over materials they will discuss with you your desire to keep or to haul it off for you.
- For Wood, Laminate, Tile, and most Vinyl jobs - Installers will discuss and confirm all labor to be performed including any custom work unforeseen during the measuring process. They will also discuss if you have a preference of what direction the product will flow or any other preferences such as grout spacing.
- After the completion of your Installation you will be contacted by The Home Depot regarding your Installation asking for a rating of your experience on a brief Customer Satisfaction Survey, with separate questions on Shopping and Product (how did the STORE do?) and to the Installation Experience (how did Cooper Installations and the Installer do?) Your feedback on this section is important to us as it serves as our "report" card telling us how YOU think we are doing… did we pass the test?!
If for ANY reason you do not feel comfortable giving us an "Extremely Satisfied" rating on the questions relating to the installation of your project, please contact us so we may have the opportunity to resolve any concerns or problems that you might have by calling us at 972-245-3766 or email us at totalsat@cooperinstallations.com.
